Established in 1985

The Canada-Palestine Cultural Association is a non-profit organization established in May 1985 by Canadian Palestinians who hoped to unite the Palestinian community in Edmonton .

It serves as the educational, cultural, and social center for the Palestinian community in Edmonton.

We look forward to your stay.

Our mission is to promote the Palestinian culture among the Canadian society and to foster and promote the social, educational, economical, and political development of the Palestinian community through advocating for equal rights, advancing individuals’ capacities and leadership skills, and amplifying Palestinian voices for peace and security at the national and global levels.

As is generally true across Arab societies, Palestinians highly value generosity and hospitality. Gift giving is a firm custom and a manifestation of how Palestinians maintain strong social bonds.

Family Solidarity

As in most largely rural cultures, the family is the most important unit in Palestinian society. The Palestinian family serves as the primary source of identity and social safety net.

The resistance, in all of its varied and creative forms, is deeply rooted in the Palestinian people inside and outside Palestine, a legitimate resistance fighting colonialism, occupation, and settler colonialism: Zionist racism.
